.htaccess configuration for suPHP server

Posted by Angus Brown at 13:21 on 28th Sep 2010
Hi there, I have managed to get shutter working fully before with no problems but I am now having issues with another hosting provider who says reagrding the .htaccess file:

'php_value lines don't work as we use suPHP - I've commented out those lines. I've also commented out your AddType line too - for PHP please only use the .php extension :)

I tried that without sucess, then I got a tip to create a php.ini file in public html to put those values (containing the first three lines of .htaccess without the php_value infront.

Still no luck unfort - would you kindly have any ideas to point out possibly where I'm going wrong?

Site is www.ccphoto.co.uk/shutter

Hi ... a quick look online says you'll need a php.ini in your public_html folder to get htaccess to work (as you have suPHP installed):
http://forums.cpanel.net/f34/after-installing-suphp-htaccess-setting-not-work-75602.html

I'm affraid I've no expereince of suPHP and as the docs say, you need htaccess functionality to use shuttter.

Sorry I can''t help further.
